ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Christa Jan Ryan
Christa J. Ryan’s story begins in a chaotic and deeply wounded family shaped by addiction, domestic violence, and emotional instability. She grew up as the forgotten child in a household of six children, including triplet sisters born with cerebral palsy, and from an early age she witnessed the pain, confusion, and broken patterns that would later echo into her own adult life. Over time, she crossed the barrier of poverty and built a successful career as a landscape designer in the Hamptons, working for more than thirty-five years while raising two sons and quietly battling her own addictions.
A turning point came when Christa realized that the very life she had watched as a child was repeating itself in her own relationships. That awakening, paired with devastating personal loss and the struggle to survive emotionally and spiritually, led her toward recovery, deeper faith, and the life-changing power of writing. Her voice is humorous, tragic, defiant, rebellious, courageous, and deeply human. Through her books, Christa speaks to readers who are living through grief, toxic relationships, addiction, and the difficult process of breaking inherited cycles. Her work is not about pretending pain disappears. It is about telling the truth, honoring the wound, and walking toward freedom anyway.
